Problem with PutFile

Sep 8, 2009 at 4:20 PM

Hello,

Congratulation for your works its very useful !

But I have a problem, I've got a FTPES server and i want put a file in the server in VB.NET code or C#.NET code.

In VB.NET my code is :

Imports AlexPilotti.FTPS.Client
Imports AlexPilotti.FTPS.Common
Imports System.NetL

Public Class Form1
    Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click

        Dim monClientFTP As New AlexPilotti.FTPS.Client.FTPSClient()
        monClientFTP.Connect("MyFTP", New NetworkCredential("User", "Pass"), ESSLSupportMode.ControlAndDataChannelsRequested)

        monClientFTP.PutFile("C:/test.txt", "/testHugues/test.txt")
    End Sub
End Class

On the line : "monClientFTP.PutFile("C:/test.txt","/testHugues/test.txt")" I ve got a timeout exception, but with FileZilla i can connect my FTP client to my FTPES server and I can put a file in a floder.

Sorry for my bad english.

Hugues.

Hi Hugues,

timeouts are usually due to incorrect active / passive connection settings. Currently AlexFTPS supports passive connections only, while active connection support will be included with the next release.

Could you please post a FileZilla log?

Cheers,

Alessandro

Hugues,

The log does not include the file upload part.

BTW Looks like your server falls back to clear text during data transfer:

Réponse : 534 Fallback to [C]

Please try to request credentials encryption only:

ESSLSupportMode.CredentialsRequired

Alessandro
