AlexFTPS was PERFECT for my needs. You can see a sample of my script in the Discussions under Using GetFiles from Powershell.

Reviewed: AlexFTPS Client 1.1.0 (Feb 09, 2012)

Rated 5 Stars (out of 5) - Solved my problem of how to download files having Russian (Cyrillic) filenames without mangling the names. The verbose dialogue showed that it had downloaded files named like ??????.txt, but in fact it had done the job properly and the files appeared in Windows Explorer with their correct Cyrillic names. It's the only command-line client which works properly in respect of UTF8 (Unicode).

Reviewed: AlexFTPS Client 1.1.0 (Νοε 17, 2011)

Rated 5 Stars (out of 5) - Saved me a lot of work. The recent addition of 'Logging' has made this probably one of the best yet simple solutions I've implemented so far this year. Great work!

Reviewed: AlexFTPS Client 1.0.2 (Jul 01, 2011)

Rated 4 Stars (out of 5) - A fantastic release and instantly helped add some extra features/polish to a project I was playing with. The only reason a 5th star is missing is due to lack of realtime 'Logging'. It's quite important to be able to get at the messages being sent to/from the desired FTP/FTPS server (This feature *IS* planned for release, however). The canned .NET classes for FTP have severe limitations. This project had one or two minor problems (no file size on GetDirectoryList() for one), but the code is simple enough to understand, so you can overwrite or override the functionality you don't like. The best free library I've reviewed. Please create a GUI client Alex. After searching online extensively, I can say that this is the first decent and free SSL FTP console client capable of automation. With a few minor fixes and tweaks, this has the potential to be a 5 star program!

Reviewed: AlexFTPS Client 1.0.2 (Mar 04, 2009)

Rated 4 Stars (out of 5) - Good job.
