I needed an FTP solution that would work in a Powershell script that was called from an Informatica Workflow. AlexFTPS was PERFECT for my needs. You can see a sample of my script in the Discussions under Using GetFiles from Powershell.

Solved my problem of how to download files having Russian (Cyrillic) filenames without mangling the names. The verbose dialogue showed that it had downloaded files named like ??????.txt, but in fact it had done the job properly and the files appeared in Windows Explorer with their correct Cyrillic names. It's the only command-line client which works properly in respect of UTF8 (Unicode).

Saved me a lot of work. The only open source .Net library I found that connected to a legacy secure ftp server through the AUTH TLS command.
